Religious Education Program (Grades K – 8)
As pastor I consider our Religious Education Program to be of the greatest importance and I am committed to making our program the best. To that end I am very pleased to share with you that Sr. Andrea Ciszewski, FSSJ will serve as the Assistant to the Moderator of our Religious Education Program. Sr. Andrea has extensive experience as both a teacher and administrator and will be able to help our catechists in their instruction, our students in their learning, as well as you as your child(ren)’s first and best teachers. Just as summertime passes by very quickly, so does the time when our children need to learn about Jesus and the love that He has for them. This foundation in faith will help them for a life time of summers and on to eternal life. As you rely on others to help you in teaching them their academic subjects we are here to help you teach them about the things of God.
Whether your child was in our program last year or not he or she is most welcome to join our classes this year. Below is our K to 8 Religious Education Schedule for 2017-18. Classes will begin on Saturday, September 9 and will be held on Saturday mornings from 9 to 10:30 am. Also below are registration forms that are due by Tuesday, August 15, 2017. By registering on time you will help us to better understand what our needs are for both catechists as well as books and supplies.
The fees will remain the same for next year: One child – $45; Two children – $80; three or more children – $100. The non-parishioner fee is $95 per child. If you register early by Tuesday, August 1st, the fee is $10 less per child. If cost is an issue just contact me so we can make it possible for your child to come to classes. We ask that you complete the YELLOW Family Information Form and then fill out the WHITE Returning Student Form and/or the BLUE New Student Information Form. If a child will be new to our program you will also need to submit a copy of his/her baptismal certificate if your child was not baptized at St. Stan’s.
You may mail the forms to: St. Stanislaus Parish Office – Attn: Religious Education – 40 Cyman Drive – Chicopee, MA 01013 or drop them off at the office (Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.). If you have any questions please contact Sr. Andrea at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the Parish Office at 594-6669, ext. 129. We hope to see you in September and we look forward to helping your child learn more about Jesus and their faith!
Peace and All Good,
Fr. Joseph Benicewicz, OFM Conv., Pastor
Sr. Andrea Ciszewski, FSSJ, Assistant to the Moderator

Religious Education Calendar (2017-2018)
Dear St. Stanislaus Confirmation Candidates and Parents:
We hope you are having a joyful and refreshing summer.
Our Parish has a two-year preparation program for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Youth from the parish begin the program in 9th grade and continue throughout their sophomore year. Then, in the fall of their junior year, a Confirmation retreat precedes the actual day of Confirmation.
Below is the calendar of “Preparation Days” for the Confirmation Program for the 2017-2018 school year. Please note that both parent(s) and candidates for confirmation are required to attend the orientation/registration on Thursday, September 21st, where we will explain the particulars of the program and allow time for questions. Our first formal meeting will be on October 5th.
Our Catholic Faith is a life long journey and we cannot make it on our own. Jesus knows this, which is why He said to His apostles and to us, “I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Consoler to be with you always, the Spirit of truth” who “remains in you” (John 14:16). St. Paul realized the reality of the Holy Spirit within him when he wrote: “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me” (Phil 4:13).What a gift it is to know that we can have the Holy Spirit perfectly poured out onto us in the Sacrament of Confirmation in order to direct us, strengthen us, and console us throughout our life. And, unless The Gift is refused by our own permission or neglect, we are assured to never be left alone!
Please complete the registration forms below with the fee and mail or drop off at the parish office by September 15. We look forward to seeing you this Fall.
Peace in Our Lord Jesus,
